Flying, filming and tinkering with drones. Here’s what’s in my hangar.
DJI Spark
DJI’s tiny 2017 drone, about 300 g. It shoots 12 MP photos and 1080p video on a 2-axis gimbal, with up to around 16 minutes of flight. Gesture control and QuickShots make it great for grabbing quick clips when travelling light.
DJI Mavic Pro (original)
The foldable drone that started the Mavic line in 2016. It shoots 4K video and 12 MP photos on a 3-axis gimbal, with OcuSync transmission and up to around 27 minutes of flight. Still a very capable camera drone.
