Hi, I’m Mike, based in Cork, Ireland. This is where I write up my hobby projects.
I enjoy flying and tinkering with drones, and running my own home lab: self-hosted services for photos, files, passwords and media, plus the networking that ties it all together. Away from the screen, I do my own car maintenance wherever I can.
Posts here are notes, guides and lessons learned along the way, shared in case they help someone else doing the same thing.
What I write about
- Drones: flying, apps, mods and the rules in Ireland
- Self-hosting: running my own services with Docker
- Home lab: servers, storage, networking and backups
- Car maintenance: doing my own servicing and repairs where possible
